We are a small group of local gardening enthusiasts looking to expand opportunities for growing fresh veggies in our community.

The idea for the Ever-green Community Garden came from a conversation between three friends after church at Calvary Lutheran Church in Evergreen. We wanted to find a way to give more people access to better quality, healthier foods, but how? The perfect solution was right in front of us! The church had a vacant lot behind the chapel and were willing to donate the use of the land to our cause.

We began reaching out to community members to gauge interest and found that many families were eager to have their own garden plot. We began planning, fundraising and information gathering, using other local gardens as inspiration for our effort and selecting the best aspects of each to bring into the Ever-green Community Garden.

Now we are in the process of raising funds to cover the cost of fencing and other start-up essentials so we can open the gates in the spring of 2021. The map below shows our ultimate vision for the garden.
